All our Panamas are completely hand made in Ecuador using traditional hat weaving techniques and are accompanied with care instructions to help you care for your panama and get a great long life out of it.

At our shop at 2/410 Pittwater rd. North Manly you can try on any of our ponchos from the super colourful “fiesta” range, the more subtle but still attention grabbing “rayado” ponchos and the western style ponchos made famous by Clint Eastwood in classics such as “For a Few Dollars More”.
I will be writing about hammocks and especially Mexican hammocks and double and king Mexican hammocks. I will be throwing in references to camping, especially now that Easter is almost upon us. Easter is a time where we traditionally head to the coast or a national park for one last fling at some outdoor summer activity before the cooler months set in (at least for those of us living in the temperate zones of his sunburnt country).
Hammock Heaven stock a huge range of worry dolls including; large worry dolls in a textile bag; large worry dolls in a traditional yellow wooden box; small worry dolls in either a textile bag or box; individual worry dolls; worry doll bookmarks; worry doll notebooks and much more. Apart from the notebooks and bookmarks all worry dolls come with a printed copy of the worry doll legend.
At Hammock Heaven, we sell four (4) grades of Panama hats which we designate as; standard; classic; fine and very fine, these gradings do not correspond to any other retailer’s gradings and they are not intended to. The manufacturer we deal with in Ecuador supplies us with hats that they describe as grades 2, 4, 6 & 8.
Panama hats are made from Toquilla straw and hand woven in the same way they have been produced for hundreds of years. There are a few different theories on how they became known as “Panama hats” but the consensus seems to be due to them being supplied to and used by the workers on the Panama canal during construction.
These hammocks are double size but still very lightweight (about 600 grams) and extremely strong, rated to hold up to 160 kgs. We have these in a range of great two tone colours to cater for all tastes. Not only great for camping these are hammocks that work anywhere, the light material used to make them means they are very fast drying and nice and cool. The ends of these hammocks feature quality ropes and a high quality metal “S” hook is included at each end.

Mexican Oilcloth is suitable for manufacturing a vast range of products. It is perfect for any application that requires an easy to clean surface. Think outdoor tablecloths (oilcloth doesn’t fray, so no need to hem, just cut to size), beach bags, aprons, baby bibs, the possibilities are endless. Oilcloth can even be used to upholster furniture (highchairs, bar stools)
